Federico Olivieri
Sr. Network Automation Engineer,
Network to Code
Federico began his journey in the IT industry in 2009 after completing secondary school. He spent five years working as a Network Engineer for ISPs in Italy before relocating to London. In London, he was introduced to basic coding by writing Bash scripts for monitoring and data gathering. Additionally, Federico attended the Cisco Academy course at London Met University. After earning his Cisco CCNP R&S certification, he shifted his focus to data center networking. Working with cutting-edge technologies, open source tools, and DevOps teams provided him with the opportunity to learn automation tools such as Ansible and Salt-Stack, programming languages such as Python and Go, and API usage. He also gained knowledge in a wide array of DevOps applications such as Docker, databases, telemetry systems, and more. After gaining experience at startups and larger companies, he decided to transition to a Network Automation role. Currently, Federico works as a Sr. Network Engineer at Network To Code, the leading company in Network Automation. He designs customized automated solutions with open source tools to meet the needs of customer teams and implements a source-control and automated approach to network configuration rather than the traditional CLI method.
