Federico started is journey into the IT industry since 2009 as soon as he finished secondary school. After five years spent as Network Engineer in ISPs companies in Italy, he moved to London where he was exposed for the first time to basic coding stuff: writing Bash scripts for monitoring and data gathering. At the same time, Federico attended the Cisco Academy course at London Met University. Once he earned the Cisco CCNP R&S certification, he shifted his focus on data center networking, where he had the chance to work with bleeding edge technologies, open source tools and DevOps teams. That experience gave him the opportunity to learn automation tools such as Ansible and Salt-Stack; python and GO language, to learn API and how to use a wide array of DevOps applications such as Docker, Databases, telemetry systems and many more. After few years of experience spanned across start-up companies or bigger ones, he decided to move into Network Automation role. Today Federico works as Network Engineer at Network To Code, the leading company in Network Automation word. He now builds custom automated solution with open source tools to meet the customer team’s needs as well as moving the concept of the classic CLI network configuration approach to a source-control and automated fashion.
