Sustainability by Cloud: Real examples and calculation models to achieve measurable CO2 savings by migrating to Hyperscalers.
The climate crisis is leading to a fundamental and necessary change in the global economy. To comply with the Paris Agreement, almost all global companies will have to implement specific sustainability targets for the entire company.
Digitalisation and the emerging use like Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Blockchain technology significantly increases the energy demand in data centres. As of this high processing demand, the required computing power in German data centres, for example, will increase by more than 60% from 2015 to 2025 - according to the BMU (Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety). As a consequence, there is an urgent need for action to reduce CO2 emissions.
How this can be realised, measured and implemented will be shown in this session. The experts will show tangible live examples from different projects and with calculation methods.
