Ransomware: The World is at a Tipping Point, and so is Cyber Security
Ransomware is no longer just a financial crime; it is an urgent national and international security risk that threatens schools, healthcare, military, businesses, public utilities, and governments across the world. Democracy cannot be stable when its pillars are under attack. Because Ransomware Criminals face low risk of prosecution due to jurisdictions´ hesitancy to pursue prosecution. But there is high reward due to rising ransom demands that are paid in untraceable currency. One entity can not solve this problem. What globally unified, aggressive approach, led by the Cyber Community, is required to address this crisis.
